I hope you are more or less enjoying your “all Hallows’ Eve” as you like! Usually I am super excited and motivated in October, even though Halloween is not a big thing right here. Non the less I tried my best to get some “spooky scary” vibes with some photo sessions of a “halloween Dollfie Dream”. And, of course, sharing them with you!
Welcome to the witch’s House
Do you know the RPG-Horror game “the witch’s house”? If not I can recomment watching a let’s play or actually playing it! It is made with passion, love and has an interesting story. Anyways back to the topic :)! I did not base the session on this game, but as a fun fact, when taking the first picture it came to my mind as a nice title. There were some different ideas i imagined, even though they had more or less different kind of approachings I wanted to create them. But always in mind this creepy and old scenery, a witch and adding some sinnister details to the pictures. When taking the pictures I was worrying “I went to far” (that’s why I kept the joints of her in the picture) – but here we are! haha 🙂
I had to go easy on it! Capturing and taking dark themed pictures makes so much fun. At least for me, I somehow enjoy it a lot. To be honest “sweet and innocent” pictures are something I have to practise. They are not that easy for me as this halloween session for example.
Behind the scenes
Another little glance behind the scenes of this photo session. I used my “doll sized” probs to create this scenery. The table was actually placed on a box, so that it would be high enough and to be seen in the pictures later on. I used a suiting backdrop here, even though I never wanted it to be in focus rather than other details and elements of the picture. Thats what I usually go when using a backdrop to be honest, often just keep it there to suit the picture. The spiderwebs were bought in a 1€ Shop – I like how realistic they can look.
Kaede, is that you?
Haha yeah thats right. The idea for a halloween session came when I took pictures of her with different wig / eyes for the blog. It was not intended to chance her appearance but I really liked this fierce look on her. After that I received some new dolly items… – well now she has a whole other look. 🙂 But I am very pleased how good she looks with her new wig and eyes! Her character updates will be posted on another blog entry though.
Thanks for reading! What do / don’t you like about the Halloween time?
